Abigail Greer

Abigail Greer joined the WSG community in June 2023 to serve as Interim Principal for the 2023-24 school year. She is a career educator, most recently serving as Director of Student Support at Bishop McNamara High School, where she is the leader for their program providing academic intervention and support. She is also an adjunct instructor at Marymount University and a former school principal for the Academy of St. Matthias the Apostle school.  With a Masters Degree and particular expertise in school counseling, Doctorate research on providing academic support to students in Catholic secondary schools and her extensive experience at Bishop McNamara (a first choice school for many of our graduates), Dr. Greer brings great insight and perspective to WSG.  

Dr. Greer holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland (B.A. in Psychology), a Master’s degree from George Washington University (M.A in Education and Human Development in School Counseling), and a certificate from George Washington University in Counseling Diverse Populations. She also has an Ed.D from Creighton University, where her research focus was on secondary school leadership and the inclusion of students with disabilities in school populations. Dr. Greer is a parent of two children and a soccer and swim coach.
