Balanced Year-Round Calendar
WSG operates on a balanced year-round academic calendar. School typically begins in late-July and ends in mid-June. Throughout the year, we take slightly longer breaks and have a shorter summer break than a typical school. During school breaks, WSG offers optional Intersession programs that provide enrichment activities, including outdoor learning and arts instruction. This model has been shown to prevent summer learning loss and minimizes student and teacher burn-out, while also creating new opportunities for enrichment.
Core Curriculum and Pedagogy
The WSG curriculum includes core instruction in Reading/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Religion. Additionally, middle school students take various enrichment courses are offered throughout enrollment at WSG. Across all subject areas, our curriculum is faith-based, individualized, and culturally responsive. We value experiential and inquiry-based learning and seek to instill a commitment within our students to service to the greater community and world. Small Classes and Academic Support
WSG is an intentionally small school. Our student to teacher ratio is generally 12:1 in the classroom and is often lower. Additionally, we offer a robust academic support program that includes small-group and one-on-one assistance provided by qualified support specialists who collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure students at all levels can achieve their academic goals.

I hope to build meaningful relationships with my students and instill in them curiosity and a desire to figure out how the world works.
