Shafta Collazo
Principal
Shafta Collazo was appointed Principal at WSG in 2024, after over 15 years as an educator holding positions as a teacher, school administrator and instructional leader. As a rising school leader, she participated in the Delaware Leadership Project through the Delaware Department of Education and subsequently worked as a turnaround School Leader in several schools. In addition, Ms. Collazo served as an Interim Principal at Serviam Academy, another Nativity Miguel model school for girls in Wilmington, DE. Ms. Collazo approaches education with the philosophy of “It takes a village to raise a child.” She was raised by a village and surrounded her own two children with a village to allow them to understand different perspectives of the world.
