Tracy Johnson
Director, Office of Student and Graduate Success
Tracy Johnson joined the WSG staff in 2018 as the Reading Specialist, following a nearly two-decade career in education in the Greater Washington region. She was promoted to become the Instructional Lead for Equity and Excellence before taking on her current position as the Director of Student and Graduate Success. Prior to WSG, Tracy served as an elementary classroom teacher and reading specialist, earning recognition for both her excellent instruction and leadership within her school communities. Born and raised in historic Anacostia, Tracy is committed to giving back to the community that supported her as she was becoming a young woman.
Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Morgan State University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University. She earned professional teaching certifications in both Maryland and the District of Columbia, and has participated in extensive professional development throughout her career. Most recently, she completed the Data Wise program through the Harvard Graduate School of Education and is currently participating in the Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington Leadership Initiative.
