Girls Go Global

WSG believes that the impact of travel and other global education opportunities helps students to expand their world view, gain confidence, and be prepared to lead.

Bringing the World into Classrooms

WSG's curriculum encourages students to think beyond their neighborhoods, their city, and their own country. In addition to exploring the diversity of human experience in social studies, students also read international authors in their Reading/Language Arts class and study faith practices across the world in Religion class. In middle school, students begin developing foreign language skills with introductory Spanish class. Students also meet guest speakers with international backgrounds through programs like the Leadership Series.

Girls Go Global Travel Opportunities

WSG offers a capstone 8th grade trip to London, launched for the first time in April of 2025. The Girls Go Global trip includes sightseeing, historical and cultural education, and a multi-day joint retreat with our sister school, the St. Claudine's Catholic School for Girls.  Throughout the 8th grade year, students prepare for their trip by doing research projects and participating in virtual sessions with students from St. Claudine's. WSG also regularly nominates students for travel experiences with external partners like CISV International.
